Gyanotsav 2026

Gyanotsav is organised by the students and staff of Gyan Ganga Group of Institutions. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through the fest website, registrations, pass sales and on-campus check-in.

Information we collect

We only ask for what we need to run the fest and keep attendees safe.

Identity details: name, college, course, year and student ID.

Contact details: email address and mobile number.

Event details: competitions you register for, team members and results.

Payment details: pass type and transaction reference. Card and UPI details are handled by our payment partner and never stored by us.

How we use your information

To confirm registrations, issue passes and verify entry at the gate.

To send schedules, venue changes and results for events you joined.

To prepare certificates and prize distribution.

To improve future editions using anonymised attendance data.

Photos and media

Gyanotsav is photographed and filmed by the official media team. Images may be used on the fest website, social media and college publications. If you would like a specific photo of you removed, email us and we will take it down within 7 working days.

Storage and security

Registration data is stored on access-controlled systems managed by the organising committee. Only coordinators who need it for their event can view participant lists.

How long we keep it

We keep registration records for 12 months after the fest to issue certificates and handle queries, then delete or anonymise them.

Your rights

Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.

Correct details that are wrong or outdated.

Ask us to delete your data once the fest is over.

Unsubscribe from fest emails at any time.
